Al-Taj News – U.S. President Donald Trump said that “Iran is officially a failed and dead state.”
Trump added that “Iran’s leadership is living in a state of complete confusion and incapacity,” adding that it “has no navy, no air force, and no currency of value.”
On the economic front, he noted that “Iran’s inflation rate has reached 300% and its leadership is living in a state of complete confusion and inability to properly represent the country.”
Trump had earlier said that the United States would not allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon, warning that Tehran obtaining one would have threatened Israel’s existence and the future of the Middle East.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump added: “We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, and it will not have one.”
Trump’s remarks about Iran come after U.S. forces bombed two missile launch platforms on Lark Island at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command said the strike targeted members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who, according to the U.S. account, were preparing to launch missiles carrying naval mines toward the strait.
